Evaluation of Virtual Care
In order to optimize virtual care provided at Hamilton Health Sciences, patients, caregivers and health care providers were asked to complete a short survey about their experience(s) with receiving or providing virtual care.
Behaviour Safety Risk Communication and Care Planning (BSR) Program
The BSR program aims to reduce threatening, violent and/or responsive behaviours by patients against staff, through the implementation of a new screening and communication protocol.
CarDIA Study
The CarDIA study aims to reduce patient risk associated with invasive procedures, and to reduce health care system costs, by implementing a new centralized triage pathway for cardiac testing.
PICU Liber8
The PICU Liber8 project focused on reducing Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)-acquired complications through the implementation of a quality improvement bundle (i.e. PICU Liber8).
Procedural Sedation
Hamilton Health Sciences has developed a policy for procedures requiring moderate sedation. This policy will help to standardize care during these procedures and improve safety for both staff and patients.
