Program Overview
The Knowledge Synthesis Program focuses on producing high‑quality evidence summaries that inform clinical decision‑making across HHS. The program applies advanced methodological approaches to ensure that clinicians and researchers have access to the most reliable and up‑to‑date evidence.
Core Activities
The program specializes in systematic reviews, meta‑analysis, network meta‑analysis, trial sequential analysis, and individual patient data meta‑analysis. Expertise also includes the development of trustworthy clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) using the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation) approach.
Capacity Building & Education
A key priority is building capacity among junior faculty, students, and residents. Mentorship and methodological guidance are provided to HHS researchers interested in evidence synthesis and guideline development. Educational opportunities support disciplines that may not traditionally engage in these activities.
Impact & Institutional Contribution
By consolidating shared infrastructure and resources, the program strengthens HHS’s leadership in evidence synthesis and guideline development at national and international levels. This work enhances the organization’s reputation and contributes to improvements in clinical care worldwide.
